Why should I join
Toastmasters?
Because you can't
afford to get caught unprepared!
Consistently,
statistical surveys on the subject of fears reveal that fear of public
speaking leads the list for the vast majority of people, even above
death and bankruptcy. Yet, other surveys that gauge successful
people in every walk of life show that one of the key attributes these
people possess is the ability to persuade audiences with polished presentations.
Toastmasters International was formed for this very reason: to help
even the most timid among us develop confidence and self-assurance in
public speaking. This is accomplished by a program of carefully designed,
progressively more challenging projects delivered in a non-threatening
atmosphere of encouragement and mutual growth.
Fellow club members, motivated by the same goals, give and receive the
constructive feedback that is so necessary to personal development.
At a pace that you determine, you can shed those layers of fear and
let the real you emerge: the competent and respected speaker you've
always known you could be.
What are some
